12 Day Pilgrimage to Sicily and Italy
We will fly from Pittsburgh to Palermo, Sicily. We will spend four nights and three days in Sicily. We will then take a Ferry across the Straits of Messina to Italy and travel by coach to Taranto and then on to Alberobello for the evening. We will spend two nights and a day in San Giovanni Rotondo, where Padre Pio spent most of his life. We will travel up the Adriatic coast of Italy stopping at Lanciano, which is home to the 8th-Century Eucharistic miracle, followed by a stop at the Holy House of Loreto, where according to tradition angels transported the home of the Blessed Virgin Mary. We will arrive in Assisi, the home of St. Francis and St. Clare. The following morning and early afternoon, we will visit the important sights of Assisi and then travel to Rome. We will spend two nights and a day in Rome. We will depart from Rome for our trip home. A detailed version of the itinerary is available upon request. The price for this pilgrimage is based on 20 paying pilgrims, on double occupancy, and includes all breakfasts and five dinners, airfare, ground transportation and gratuities. The only possible increase in price would be a fuel surcharge that the airlines can add at any time. The pilgrimage is with Globus International. COST:
