PRAYER OF PARENTS FOR THEIR CHILDREN
God, our Father, I thank You for the gift of my children and for the privilege and responsibility of being a parent, for this is my way of holiness. May I regard each of my children as a sacred pledge of Your love and a beautiful sign of Your confidence in me. Help me to pass on to my children our greatest treasures, faith in Your truths, hope in Your goodness, love in Your Name for all. I entrust my children to Your loving care. Banish from our home any bitterness or lack of forgiveness. Let us have time, deep concern, and a sense of sacrifice for one another. Teach us never to be ashamed that we are, in name and in fact, a Catholic family striving to live in the way of Jesus, Who is head of our home. Give us Your Holy Spirit to unite us throughout this life and let the circle of our family be unbroken in the Kingdom of Your Son Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
PEACE OF HEART
Almighty and Eternal God, Give me, I beseech You, the great gift of inward peace.
Command the winds and storms of my unruly passions.
Subdue, by Your grace, my proneness to love created things too much.
Give me a love of suffering for Your sake.
Make me forbearing and kind to others, that I may avoid quarrels and contentions.
And teach me constantly to seek after and to acquire that perfect resignation to Your Holy Will
which alone brings interior peace.
CONSECRATION OF THE FAMILY
TO THE SACRED HEARTS OF JESUS AND MARY
Most holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, united in perfect love, as you look upon us with mercy and caring,
we consecrate our hearts, our lives, our family to you. We know the beautiful example of your home in Nazareth was meant to be a model for each of our families. We hope to have, with your help, the unity and strong, enduring love you gave to one another.
May our home be filled with joy. May sincere affection, patience, tolerance and mutual respect be freely given to all. May our prayers be filled with the needs of others, not just ourselves and may we always be close to your sacraments.
Bless those who are present, as well as those who are absent, both the living and the dead; may peace be among us and when we are tested, grant us the Christian acceptance of God's will. Keep our family close to your Hearts; may your special protection be with us always.
Most Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, hear our prayer.
PRAYER FOR OUR NATION
Almighty God, bless our nation and make it true to the ideas of freedom and justice and brotherhood for all who make it great.
Guard us from war, from fire and wind, from compromise, fear, confusion.
Be close to our president and our statesmen; give them vision and courage, as they ponder decisions affecting peace and the future of the world.
Make me more deeply aware of my heritage; realizing not only my rights but also my duties and responsibilities as a citizen.
Make this great land and all its people know clearly Your will, that they may fulfill the destiny ordained for us in the salvation of the nations, and the restoring of all things in Christ. Amen
PRAYER TO BECOME MORE LIKE JESUS
God, our Father, You redeemed us and made us Your children in Christ. Through Him You have saved us from death and given us Your Divine life of grace. By becoming more like Jesus on earth, may I come to share His glory in Heaven. Give me the peace of Your kingdom, which this world does not give. By Your loving care protect the good You have given me. Open my eyes to the wonders of Your Love that I may serve You with a willing heart.
THE BEATITUDES Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
Blessed are the meek, for they shall possess the earth.
Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for justice, for they shall be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the clean of heart, for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.
Blessed are they who suffer persecution for justice' sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
Blessed are you when men reproach you, and persecute you, and speaking falsely, say all manner of evil against you, for My sake.
REMIND ME, LORD
Remind me, Lord. I keep forgetting,
that You are powerful enough to single-handed
handle all of my problems, no matter,
how large, how small, how complex or how simple.
Remind me, Lord. I keep forgetting,
that You are stronger in every way
than my strongest enemies.
Remind me, Lord. I keep forgetting,
that You are mightier than any bad wishes against me.
Remind me, Lord. I keep forgetting,
that You are my protector.
Remind me, Lord. I keep forgetting,
that I don’t have to fear anyone.
Remind me, Lord. I keep forgetting,
that You are capable of helping me with anything;
I feel overwhelmed by, I feel helpless about,
I feel anxious about, or I feel defeated by.
Remind me, Lord. I keep forgetting,
that You are my helper.
Remind me, Lord. I keep forgetting,
that I don’t have to fear anything.
Remind me, Lord. I keep forgetting,
that Your love is greater
than any love I’ve ever known.
Greater than my mother’s love.
Greater than my Father’s love.
Greater than my sister’s love.
Greater than my brother’s love.
Greater than my best friend’s love.
Greater than my spouse’s love.
Remind me, Lord. I keep forgetting,
that You loved me before
I was a twinkle in my parent’s eyes.
Remind me, Lord. I keep forgetting,
that no matter what I have done,
You still love me.
You may not be pleased with my actions or choices,
but none-the-less, You still love me.
Remind me, Lord. I keep forgetting,
that I don’t have to be deserving
of Your love but, You love me anyway.
Remind me, Lord. I keep forgetting,
that I don’t have to earn Your love.
Remind me, Lord, I keep forgetting,
that Your love has always been
and will always be with me,
whether I recognized it or not.
Remind me, Lord, I keep forgetting,
that Your love is unconditional.
Remind me, Lord, I keep forgetting, that I can rely on Your love.

PRAYER FOR STRENGTH & COMPASSION Dear Lord, I thank You for this day, I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning. I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God.
You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you. I ask now for Your forgiveness.
Please keep me safe from all danger and harm.
Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.
Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things.
Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over.
And give the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits.
I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart.
Continue to use me to do Your will.
Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others Keep me strong that I may help the weak.
Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others.
I pray for those that are lost and can't find their way.
I pray for those that are misjudged and misunderstood.
